Meth lab discovered in Paint Township

On Wednesday, Feb. 9, Highland County Sheriff's Office deputies went to a residence in the 12000 block of U.S. Route 50 in the Rainsboro Community in order to attempt to make an arrest on Brian R. Snyder, 29, on an outstanding warrant out of Hillsboro Municipal Court.
Upon making contact with Snyder, deputies observed items related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. Detectives were called to the scene, and upon conducting a search of the residence, numerous items relating to the manufacture of methamphetamine were discovered. Several items were seized as evidence, while additional items were removed by a hazardous materials clean-up crew due to their hazardous nature.
Snyder was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant. He appeared in Hillsboro Municipal Court on Feb. 9 and received 180 days of jail time regarding a probation violation. The original charge of the probation violation was the result of purchasing over-the-limit pseudoephedrine.
The case will be forwarded to the Highland County Prosecutor's Office for presentation to an upcoming session of the Highland County Grand Jury, regarding the felony methamphetamine case.[[In-content Ad]]
