McClain students win Lights, Camera, Save contest

Community Savings Bank partnered with the ABA Foundation to sponsor the 2016-17 Lights, Camera, Save contest again this year.
Students from many different local schools were asked to make a 90-second video that would inspire other students their age to save money. The videos were judged on production value, message, creativity, and overall impression.
All three local winners were from Mr. Hamilton’s class at McClain High School.
Community Savings Bank president John Essen, and branch manager Kelley McNeil handed out awards on Dec. 6.
First-place winners Tyler Jackson and Makayla Ely received $250 and a viewing and pizza party for their class.
Second-place winners Jack Gill and Jacob Easter got a check for $100; and third-place winners Jacob Moore and Caleb Helterbrand got a check for $50. All of them received a certificate.
Tyler and Makayla’s video will go on to compete in the national ABA competition for a chance to win up to $5,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C. for the Jump$tart National Educator’s Conference with their teacher.
