The Village of Lynchburg celebrated Arbor Day on Saturday, April 26 by planting a red flowering dogwood tree on Main Street.
This is the fourth year Lynchburg has held an Arbor Day observance.
Members from the Boy Scouts and volunteers from the community helped remove the soil, and plant the new tree.
The focus of this year's observance was planting the right tree in the right place, and ensuring power lines are taken into account when planting under them.
The village would like to thank the Widmans for their hard work in preparing the planting site.
