Kate Jones receives David A. Watts Scholarship

Mrs. Sara Watts of Greenfield has established a scholarship for Fairfield High School graduates in memory of her husband, David A. Watts.  

As a proud 1956 Fairfield graduate, it was his wish to give a scholarship to the school.  

The 2011 scholarship was given to Kate Jones who plans to attend Wilmington College and major in psychology.  

Mrs. Watts plans to present one, $1,000 scholarship for the next nine years to Fairfield seniors.

Fairfield students should see Mrs. Mangus for scholarship information.

Mr. Watts taught for 34 years in Greenfield.
