Hillsboro Police Report

These incidents have been reported by the HPD.

September 17

Javon Hopping, 21, of Hillsboro was cited for no operator’s license. 

On September 16 at approximately 5:27 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the 200 block of West Main Street for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Tami Bolling, 45, of Hillsboro was sitting stationary in traffic waiting for the traffic light to change. Heath McCravy, 18, of Hillsboro started to go too early and hit the rear end of Bolling’s vehicle. No injuries were reported on scene. McCravy was cited for improper starting. 

On September 17 at 11:11 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to North West Street at the intersection of Cross Road for a report of a 2-car crash. After further investigation, Dustin Koehler, 24, of Sinking Spring was traveling southbound on N. West St. approaching the intersection of Cross Road. Nancy Jennings, 71, of Hillsboro was stopped on N. West St. at the red light at Cross Road. Koehler failed to stop prior to striking Jennings in the rear. Injuries were reported on scene. Koehler was cited for assured clear distance ahead. 

On September 17 at 11:05 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of a 2-car crash at the intersection of West Walnut Street and South High Street. Upon arrival, Tommy Cooper, 62, of Waverly was making a wide right-hand turn onto S. High St. when Franklin Grosvenor, 78, of New Vienna also attempted to make a right-hand turn, causing a crash. No injuries were reported on scene. Grosvenor was cited for right of way at through highways.
