Hillsboro Middle School pupil charged

The Hillsboro Police Department is investigating a Feb. 15 report of a Hillsboro Middle School pupil who was allegedly in possession of marijuana.

According to a news release from the HPD, the pupil reportedly damaged a seat on a school bus and became nervous after being called to the principal's office. The news release said the pupil admitted to being in possession of marijuana.

Charges were filed and the pupil will appear in Highland County Juvenile Court, the HPD said.[[In-content Ad]]
