Hillsboro FOE 1161 Eagle Riders donate to DAV Chapter 123

Gary Smaltz, commander of the Disabled American Veterans Lloyd C. Ludwick Chapter 123, recently accepted a check on behalf of the local DAV from the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161 motorcycle riders in the amount of $5,000.

Several area individuals and businesses donated to a recent poker run fundraiser by the Eagles Riders.

Smaltz thanked the Eagles Riders, FOE 1161 and everyone who contributed.

The Disabled American Veterans Lloyd C. Ludwick Chapter 123 meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Hi-TEC Center conference room, 1575 N. High St., Hillsboro.
