Hillsboro FFA poinsettia sale under way

The Hillsboro High School FFA Greenhouse Management class is having their annual poinsettia sale. From the start of the school year, the greenhouse class has been learning how to take care of and manage a greenhouse. They have been caring for poinsettias for a class project. They are learning marketing and advertising, sales and public relations.
The sale starts on Nov. 28 and only lasts until Dec. 19. The red poinsettias are in nine-inch containers. The poinsettias will cost $10 apiece or $8 each if you buy three or more.
Students are willing to deliver, or customers can pick up poinsettias at Hillsboro HIgh School (550 U.S. 62 south) during school hours (7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.).
The Hillsboro FFA chapter will be very active during the holiday season. Some of the other upcoming activities include the greenhand banquet, Christmas caroling, adopt a family, Highland County leadership night and the food science contest.
