Highland District Hospital welcomes new VP of finance

Highland District Hospital is proud to announce Karen Shadowens as their new Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer.

Shadowens most recently served as the Director of Finance/CFO for UC Health at their West Chester Hospital.

Shadowens received her Master of Business Administration degree from Wright State University and has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 21 years. She is also a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where she served as President of the Southwestern Ohio Chapter from 2008-2009.

Shadowens and her husband Robin live in Wilmington and have a daughter and three grandchildren. She enjoys the outdoors, where she loves to fish, golf and spend time with family and friends.

Shadowens looks forward to serving Highland District Hospital and becoming more immersed in the Highland County community.
