Highland County Sheriff’s Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.

Nov. 8
 
A deputy responded to the 7500 block of Mad River Road after a report of a domestic disturbance. After investigation, a male that was involved had left prior to the deputy arriving. It was also determined the male had violated a protection order, charges are currently pending.

A resident of the 7500 block of state Route 138 reported telecommunications fraud. This incident remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to the 6500 block of Beechwood Lane after a report of a male being assaulted by his neighbor. This incident remains under investigation.

Nov. 9

A deputy responded to the 12000 block of state Route 28 after a report of trespassing and crop damage. This incident remains under investigation. 

A resident of the 9000 block of Highrock Road reported a physical altercation had occurred between two males. After investigation, Terry J. Paris, 53, of Leesburg was charged with menacing.

Nov. 10

Deputies responded to the 7200 block of Pea Ridge Road after a report of unsafe shooting. After investigation, Elliot B. Town, 41, of Hillsboro, was charged with using weapons while intoxicated.

A deputy was dispatched to the 4900 block of state Route 138 after a report of a person discharging a firearm from their vehicle. After investigation, William J. Marshall, 83, of Hillsboro was cited for disorderly conduct.

Danny R. Slagle, 44, of Lucasville, probation violation.
Evelyn J. Doughman, 44, of Martinsville, failure to appear.
