Heavy rains cause school delay; several reports of high water

Heavy rains through the late evening Thursday and early morning Friday have led to one local school delay and several reports of high water.
The Lynchburg-Clay Schools were on a one-hour delay due to areas of high water.
According to Kathleen Fuller of District 9 of the Ohio Department of Transportation, the following routes have temporarily closed due to flooding:
S.R. 348 at Compton Hill in Adams County
S.R. 141 at Wilgus in Lawrence County
S.R. 650 between S.R. 522 and White Oak Road in Lawrence County
S.R. 124 at Idaho and S.R. 772 in Pike County
S.R. 124 at Latham in Pike County
S.R. 41 north of Bainbridge in Ross County
S.R. 73 at Rarden in Scioto County
In addition, crews are working in Highland County patrolling and treating routes as needed for snow and ice.
There's a flood advisory in effect until 7:45 a.m. for Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties in Ohio and several counties in northern Kentucky.
The National Weather Service is predicting three inches of rain for much of southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.
