You will have to watch out for the leprechaun when you show up for the St. Patrick’s Day Brunch on Sunday, March 19 at the Highland House Museum.

The brunch has been the spring kickoff event for the Highland County Historical Society for the past 15-plus years.

This year’s brunch will start at 11:30 a.m., with serving until 1:30 p.m. A delicious menu is planned for all to enjoy.

Reservations can be made by calling (937) 393-3392 no later than Monday, March 13. Please leave your name, phone number and number of reservations. As in former years, donations will be accepted, with proceeds to support the work of the Highland House and Scott House.

William Albert, a guest and greeter, will be on hand to discuss his Eagle Scout project. His project will be building a sidewalk at the society’s historic log cabin. Albert will be available to answer questions about the project.

Please attend with your family and friends and support the society. The museum shop will be open for shoppers, and museum rooms will be refreshed to tour. The Military Room will be featured, as it underwent major renovation in 2016.

“May luck be your companion, may friends stand by your side, may history remind us all of Ireland’s faith and pride.”
