Prior to the meeting, OCA held elections for its board of directors for a three-year term beginning in 2026. Directors were elected in districts 3, 6, 9 and 12, along with one at-large position.
OCA congratulates the newly elected directors: Jim Rogers, Hocking County, representing District 9, and Evan Wood, Gallia County, representing District 12. The association also recognizes directors re-elected to serve another term: John Ferguson, Geauga County, District 3; Kirsten Nickles, Ashland County, District 6; and Frank Phelps, Logan County, director at-large.
Jim Rogers of Logan is a dedicated leader in Ohio’s agricultural community with decades of experience, a commitment to service, and deep roots in Hocking County. The Wood family operates a 250-head commercial cow/calf operation with corn and hay production and backgrounds and finishes their own calves while raising replacement females.
OCA extends its sincere appreciation to retiring directors, Jim Jepsen, Fairfield County, District 9 and Dale Taylor, Gallia County, District 12 for their years of service and dedication to the association.
