Governor's race between Strickland, Kasich too close to call
The final pre-election Ohio Poll from the University of Cincinnati shows GOP challenger John Kasich with a slight lead over incumbent Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.
The survey, conducted among likely voters over the weekend, gives Kasich slim, 52-47 edge, with a margin of error of almost four points. A previous poll from early October, showed Kasich ahead, 51-43.
The poll also projects Republican Rob Portman to defeat Democrat Lee Fisher in the race for U.S. Senate.
The Ohio governor's race has become one of the most closely watched campaign in the nation.
President Barack Obama has made repeated campaign stops in Ohio for Strickland and both Obama and VP Joe Biden were in the Buckeye State over the weekend.
Meanwhile, country singer Hank Williams Jr. is scheduled to appear with Kasich and Portman Monday night at Cincinnati Lunken Airport at Hangar 31 at 6 p.m.
