Governor’s Office announces appointments; Daniels named to SSCC Board of Trustees

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has made the following appointments:

• Karen S. Daniels of Hillsboro (Highland County) has been appointed to the Southern State Community College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending May 11, 2030.

• William G. Ebbing of New Albany (Franklin County) has been appointed to the Miami University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Feb. 28, 2025.

• Diane M. Downing of Cleveland (Cuyahoga County) has been appointed to the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending May 1, 2033.

• Skye A. Carlson of Cleveland Heights (Cuyahoga County) has been appointed as a student member to the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending May 1, 2026.

• Roy Aaron Adams of Wheelersburg (Scioto County) has been appointed to the Shawnee State University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending June 30, 2033.

• Debra Kuhn of Mansfield (Richland County) has been appointed as a student member to the Shawnee State University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending June 30, 2026.

• Kara J. Trott of Columbus (Franklin County) has been appointed to The Ohio State University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending May 13, 2033.

• Kendall C. Buchan of Westerville (Franklin County) has been appointed as a student member to The Ohio State University Board of Trustees for a term beginning Oct. 18, 2024 and ending May 13, 2026.

• Kristin N. Aspin of Ashland (Ashland County) has been reappointed to the North Central State College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Jan. 16, 2027.

• Mary Beth Hammond of Findlay (Hancock County) has been reappointed to the Owens Community College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Sept. 21, 2030.

• Travis Reiff of Bowling Green (Wood County) has been reappointed to the Owens Community College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Sept. 21, 2030.

• Anita G. Rice of St. Clairsville (Belmont County) has been reappointed to the Belmont College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending May 12, 2027.

• Edward D. Kagel of Westlake (Cuyahoga County) has been appointed to the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Sept. 24, 2029.

• Clara M. Osterhage of Dayton (Montgomery County) has been reappointed to the State Cosmetology and Barber Board for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 31, 2029.

• Eric A. Hirzel, Sr. of Port Clinton (Ottawa County) has been appointed to the Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending June 30, 2028.

• Kate Bartter of Columbus (Franklin County) has been reappointed to the Great Lakes Protection Fund Board for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 10, 2026.

• Richard C. Hylant of Ottawa Hills (Lucas County) has been reappointed to the Great Lakes Protection Fund Board for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 10, 2025.

• Michael G. Verich of Warren (Trumbull County) has been reappointed to the Environmental Review Appeals Commission for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 22, 2030.

• Amanda J. Knight of Wheelersburg (Scioto County) has been appointed to the State Board of Psychology for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 4, 2028.

• Adam G. Jacobs of Chagrin Falls (Cuyahoga County) has been reappointed to the State Board of Psychology for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 4, 2029.

• Kathleen Kendall of Martins Ferry (Belmont County) has been appointed to the State Board of Psychology for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 4, 2029.

• Kevin Shimp of Columbus (Franklin County) has been reappointed to the Industrial Commission Nominating Council for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 20, 2028.

• Timothy W. Burga of Westerville (Delaware County) has been reappointed to the Industrial Commission Nominating Council for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 20, 2028.

• Robert K. Schmitz of Bexley (Franklin County) has been reappointed to the Industrial Commission Nominating Council for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 20, 2026.

• Mark Mecum of Westerville (Delaware County) has been reappointed to the Governor’s Council on Juvenile Justice for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 31, 2027.

• Kathryn E. Shelley of Toledo (Lucas County) has been reappointed to the Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 26, 2027.

• Thomas P. Webb of Dayton (Montgomery County) has been reappointed to the Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council for a term beginning Nov. 8, 2024 and ending Oct. 26, 2027.
