Firefighters respond to Taco Bell restaurant fire

Firefighters responded to the Taco Bell restaurant on North High Street in Hillsboro before sunrise Sunday, April 27.

Flames could be seen shooting from the back side of the restaurant which is located near the Kmart plaza. The blaze may have originated in a storage area.

Firefighters from the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District were on the scene early Sunday morning, as the initial call came in at 5:54 a.m.

Paint Creek Fire Chief Bradley George said the fire did not appear suspicious in nature at this point, but it remains under investigation.

Also responding were firefighters from Lynchburg, Marshall, Brush Creek, Mowrystown, Leesburg and New Vienna.
