Firefighters called to Dunlap Road residence

Area firefighters were called to a possible structure fire in the 800 block of Dunlap Road in Hillsboro shortly before noon Monday, May 9.

Upon arrival, firefighters from Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District found smoke coming from the top floor of the two-story home, which is west of Dunlap Road and back a lengthy, uphill driveway. A pumping station was established at Dunlap Road.

The fire was extinguished at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Two residents were taken into local life squads for observation and treatment, if needed.

The Hillsboro Police Department and other area fire departments also responded.

The incident remains under investigation, and firefighters were still on the scene Monday afternoon.
