COLUMBUS – Today, the Ohio Republican Party's endorsed slate of judicial candidates – Justice Joe Deters, Judge Dan Hawkins and Judge Megan Shanahan – filed their petitions to run for Ohio Supreme Court in 2024.

"Earlier this year, the Ohio Republican Party was proud to endorse Justice Joe Deters, Judge Dan Hawkins, and Judge Megan Shanahan for Ohio's highest court," said Chairman Alex Triantafilou. "As experienced former prosecutors and principled jurists, Deters, Hawkins and Shanahan will serve the people of Ohio with an eye toward public safety and enforcing law and order."

Justice Joe Deters is running for the seat currently occupied by Justice Melody Stewart. Judge Megan Shanahan is running for the seat currently occupied by Justice Michael Donnelly. Judge Dan Hawkins is running for the seat currently held by Justice Joe Deters.

Bottom Line: In 2024, the makeup of the Ohio Supreme Court is at stake, and Ohioans stand ready to elect strong, conservative justices who will uphold the law as it is written.
