Community Action announces Summer Food Service Program for Children

The Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and under or persons over 18 who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled. The meals will be provided without regard to race color, national origin, gender, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Any person who believes he or she has been discriminated against in any USDA-related activity should write or call immediately to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Director, Office of Adjudication, 1400 Independence Ave SW, Washington, D.C. 20250-9410; or call toll free (866) 632-9992 (voice). Individuals who are hearing impaired or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339 or (800) 845-6136 (Spanish). USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Meals will be provided at the site(s) listed below beginning on June 13 through Aug. 12 between the hours of 11:30 and 12:30.
