If you and your family are looking for something to do this weekend, plan to attend Leesburg’s Artisan Folk Fair Nov. 7 & 8. Artisans and crafters will be offering items for sale to the public, and many will be demonstrating. There will be scroll saw masters, leather workers, soap makers, and weavers. Artisans will be sewing, crocheting and sharing their talents. An entire room is dedicated to quilting thanks to several quilt clubs from Highland county. Vote for your favorite! The event is held at Fairfield school.
Fairfield’s high school choir will once again open the event. Later in the day Touch of Class, Greenfield’s show choir, will perform. Paul McComb will follow with his soothing guitar.
Come Sunday and enjoy lunch offered by 3 Mom’s Catering. Their extensive menu brings hungry folks from all over. Listen to the stage performance of Brother Sister Turtle Bear, a multi-talented group. Strolling will be Ohio River Minstrels. On stage at 2 PM will be the Artisan Auction. Bid on items donated by the artisans and community. Part of the proceeds are given to an area charity.
The facility is entirely handicap accessible. The Fairfield Local School is located at 11611 SR 771, one mile south of the traffic light in the center of town. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday is noon – 5 p.m. Whatever the weather, come enjoy some time with us. A donation at the door is requested.
