Press Release-
Adena Health System has been advancing cancer care in the community with compassionate care, delivered by a team of highly-trained specialists and staff, who use the industry’s latest technology and treatments. The caregivers at the Adena Cancer Center make it possible for nearly every patient touched by the disease to stay close to home, where they can receive the most advanced care, planned specifically for them.
Research is crucial in the fight against cancer, and Adena Health System is pleased to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society. This week, Adena Cancer Center leaders presented representatives of the American Cancer Society with $12,500 as part of its ongoing commitment and sponsorship to Relay for Life.

“The American Cancer Society does so much for cancer patients across the country, and here in south central Ohio,” said Adena Radiation Oncologist and Adena Cancer Center Medical Director Dr. Alex Wilson. “Adena is proud to once again be involved with this year’s Relay for Life within the areas we serve. Together, our passion for finding a cure drives so many in our region to take action - whether that is participating in Relay for Life, fundraising, support or whatever it takes.”
As a sponsor, Adena will take a lead role in Relay for Life events in six counties: Fayette, Highland, Jackson, Pickaway, Pike and Ross.
