2017 Ohio fairs schedule now available

Ohioans can start planning visits to all of their favorite fairs across the state.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture has released the official dates for the 2017 fair season, which includes Ohio’s 94 county and independent fairs and the Ohio State Fair.

The Paulding County Fair will kick off the 2017 fair season on June 12, and the season will wrap up on Oct. 14 with the Fairfield County Fair. For a complete schedule, visit the department’s website at www.agri.ohio.gov, click on “Divisions” and then click on “Communications Office.”



In addition to setting and approving the dates for the independent and county fairs, the department is responsible for helping to assure the safety of fair amusement rides, monitoring livestock shows to help assure honest competition and coordinating animal health efforts with local veterinarians

Local fair dates include:

• Highland County Fair (Hillsboro): Sept. 2-9.

• Adams County Fair (West Union): July 9-15.

• Brown County Fair (Georgetown): Sept. 25-30.

• Clermont County Fair (Owensville): July 23-29.

• Clinton County Fair (Wilmington): July 8-15.

• Fayette County Fair (Washington C.H.): July 17-22.

• Pike County Fair (Piketon): July 28-Aug. 5.

• Ross County Fair (Chillicothe): Aug. 5-12.

• Scioto County Fair (Lucasville): Aug. 7-12.
