McClain FFA competes in District 9 Soil Judging Contest

The McClain FFA Chapter had numerous members participate in the District 9 Soil Judging Contest.

The Agricultural Soils team placed third overall in the District Contest and will be advancing to the State Contest on Oct. 14. The team was led by Leah Lovett, fifth overall individual, followed closely by Olivia Stegbauer, eighth overall individual, and rounding out our high individuals was Katie Cook, ninth overall.

The Urban Soils team placed second overall in the District Contest and will be advancing to the State Contest on Oct. 14. Hunter Miller swept the competition and was the high individual of the contest.

The first-ever McClain FFA Middle School team competed in the Junior High Division and took home first place. The McClain FFA Middle School team had consecutive high individuals. Aubrey Baldwin took home first place, followed by Jansen Allison in second place, then Luke Banks in third place and finishing with Lila Banks in fourth place.
