McClain 2nd, Hillsboro 3rd overall in final FAC girls golf standings

The Frontier Athletic Conference held their 2023 girls golf championship match, which was played at Buckeye Hills, on Sept. 18.
The 18-hole match was won by the Miami Trace Lady Panthers with a score of 421, followed by McClain in second at 430 and Washington in third with a score of 442. In fourth place was Hillsboro at 465, and both Jackson and Chillicothe had no team scores.
The final FAC standings for the 2023 season were: Miami Trace (35-5), McClain (31-9), Hillsboro (21-19), Washington (16-24), Jackson (12-28) and Chillicothe (0-40).
Aubrey Arnold of Jackson was the individual medalist, as she was the medalist in every FAC match this season.
The All-FAC team was named after the match included: Aubrey Arnold, Player of the Year (Jackson), Morgan Webb and Addison Smith (Chillicothe), Faith Wynne (Washington), Kaylin Sterling (McClain), Emma Yochum (Hillsboro) and Emily Reeves (Miami Trace).
For the match on Sept. 18, McClain’s results were: Kaylin Sterling (99), Jacolyn Bolender (110), Hailey Cornett (110), Avery Murphy (111), Abbie Lovett (112) and Reese Roble (112).
Hillsboro’s individual results were: Emma Yochum (92), Amani Cumberland (119), Rylea Scarberry (126), Halle Jones (128), Grace Watson (132) and Addy Knauff (132).
