To the editor:
On Saturday, Sept. 18, more than 200 people gathered on the sidewalk and in the street in front of the Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center on West Walnut Street in Hillsboro.
It was a beautiful morning, and a group of very wonderful people were gathered to Walk for Life, followed by some special motorcycle riders who were here to support our SOPC Bike for Life.
The staff has been entering donations and pledges into the system since the Monday following the walk. Today, they printed many invoices and receipts.
Our goal was $50,000 for the Walk for Life and Bike for Life. Right now, our total in cash and pledges is $73,647.10.
All praise to the Lord for once again blessing the Center through the work of so many who love this ministry and who work hard to make sure that our moms and babies are taken care of and that the students in our county schools hear the abstinence message.
"Thank-you" to the community doesn't seem adequate, but it is heartfelt. We are blessed by so many in this community who continue to support the Center's ministry. Here at the Center and in the classroom, we are seeing open doors to touch lives and hearts. And, we are seeing the incredible power of Jesus Christ to actually change lives.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of those we see. We are blessed.
Sincerely,
Cathy Griffith
Executive Director
