Chamber of Commerce urges community to 'Shop Local'

To the editor:

National Small Business Saturday is Saturday, November 26.

The second annual Small Business Saturday event urges each of us to shop local independently owned businesses to support the small business sector which is so vital to our economy.

We encourage Highland County consumers to be a part of this nationwide initiative and take time to see all that our local businesses have to offer.

Additionally, we hope that during this holiday season, everyone makes a concerted effort to SHOP LOCAL.

SHOP LOCAL means you believe in your community and that we work together to strengthen our local businesses and economy. SHOP LOCAL is more than a slogan – it’s a way of thinking, acting and supporting our community.

The members of the Highland County Chamber of Commerce encourage you to buy and do business locally – it does matter to Highland County.

Sincerely,

Katy Farber, President

Highland County Chamber of Commerce
