LC girls soccer shuts out Unioto; Mustangs boys fall to Unioto

The Lynchburg-Clay boys soccer team hosted the Unioto Shermans on Thursday night, falling to the visitors from Ross County by a 3-1 score.

Lynchburg-Clay’s lone goal was scored by Americo Brioli.

The loss sends the Mustangs to an overall record of 4-4-2 overall, as they are 3-0-0 in the SHAC.

In the girls game, which was played in Ross County at Unioto High School on Thursday, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs defeated UHS, 4-0 in the non-conference game.

Goals for the Lady Mustangs included a hat trick from Jade Massey and a goal by Autumn Wilkin. Lainie Lunsford had three assists, and Aubrey Slack had one assist.

At goal for LCHS, Caitlyn Collins had one save.

The win improves LCHS to 6-0-4 overall, as they have a SHAC record of 2-0-1 this season.
