The Whiteoak Wildcats had five players selected to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Division IV All-Ohio team, including two players being selected to the first team.

The celebrations of reaching the Division IV State Semifinals are now in the past, and the focus of the Whiteoak Wildcats is now all in for the state semifinals this Thursday at Huntington Park in Columbus, where the No. 1 state-ranked Whiteoak club will take on the Hicksville Aces.

The Whiteoak Wildcats track and field team saw the benefits of their hard work pay off, finishing as league runners-up on the boys side in the SHAC behind only Fairfield.

Whether it is climbing the ladder rung by rung or "trusting the process," the Whiteoak Wildcats have done everything right thus far this season. That trend continued Friday, with the Wildcats defeating the Eastern Eagles by a 5-4 score in the Division IV Regional Finals.

Doing what they have all season long, the Whiteoak Wildcats have dug deep, played solid baseball and even had a few clutch moments to land at and earn a spot in the Division IV Regional Finals for the first time in program history.

Trusting the process seems to be working for the Whiteoak Wildcats, as a three-run rally in the top of the sixth, followed by stifling defense in the final two innings, has led them to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history. The Wildcats defeated the Toronto Red Knights by a 4-3 score at Beavers Field in Lancaster in the Division IV Regional Semifinals.
