    The fourth quarter at the Convocation Center proved to be just too much for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs, as they lost their lead, and their season ended. LC, who won 15 games this season, fell to the Minford Lady Falcons, 46-39 in the Division III SE District Semifinal, Saturday.

    After four league games, Wilmington’s Greg Nared and receiver Aaron Cox of Madison-Plains stood atop the passing race in the SCOL, but neither enjoyed much of a lead. Nared had racked up 760 yards through the air. He was only eight yards ahead of Jeff Shaw, of WCH, who had thrown for 752 yards. Shaw, however, continued to be the most accurate passer in the league, completing 54.5 percent of his attempts.
