Ohio first lady Frances Strickland is scheduled to be in Highland County from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 for a tour of Rocky Fork State Park, it was announced at Thursday's commissioners meeting.

       Judge John Martin has ruled in favor of a motion by Union Stockyards' attorney Tom Tepe for pre-judgment and post-judgment interest in the ongoing litigation between the stockyards owners and the city of Hillsboro.

Carol Lee Wells, 63, of Greenfield, died Nov. 11, 2009 at Hearth and Care of Greenfield.
