Tree removal angers Paint Township residents
To the Editor:
On Sept. 5, 2009 my husband and I heard chain saws, close chain saws. This tree removal service was on our property on Spargur Lane cutting down our trees. They told us they were cutting and clearing for the Paint Township trustees. We asked them to stop while we frantically tried to reach the trustees. They refused.  That day by quitting time, they had cut 50 trees from our road frontage and hauled away our wood. This was all done without our permission or any discussion. My husband told them it was our wood and we wanted it but to no avail.

After fighting off a scoreless tie in the first half of play, it was the Fairfield Lady Lions who showed up in the second half, Monday evening at Fairfield High School, as they scored twice in the half for a 2-0 win over the North Adams Lady Green Devils in the Division II SE District Sectional Semifinals.
