McClain Drama Department to present "Get Smart"

   “Would you believe seven police boats are closing in on us right now?” asks Maxwell Smart of the head of KAOS who now holds him captive. When the master criminal finds this a little hard to accept, the straight-faced Smart asks, “Would you believe six?” With that question, this bright comedy-satire put an expression into the English language.

Reiber announces resignation as HCS superintendent
Hillsboro City Schools Superintendent Art Reiber announced his resignation, effective July 31, 2010, at Wednesday night's school board meeting.
"It is with mixed emotions that I submit my resignation," Reiber said. "I
want to thank the Board of Education for the opportunity to be your
superintendent these last five years. It is very difficult to say goodbye to
a job that you truly enjoy. I will really miss representing Hillsboro City
Schools."

Mustangs win second straight sectional title
Add another Division III SE District Sectional championship to the accomplishments of the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys soccer team, as they won their second consecutive sectional title Wednesday night, defeating the North Adams Green Devils 7-1 at Lynchburg-Clay High School.
