Coonrod trial to be moved out of county

It was determined Nov. 5 that the Wesley Coonrod murder trial will be moved out of Highland County.
Christmas open house Nov. 13
Preparations are under way for the Anderson family’s Christmas Open House, hosted annually at the 4-H Building at the Highland County Fairgrounds. Organized by sisters-in-law Karin and Melanie Anderson and their mother-in-law, Loretta Anderson, and assisted by Christopher and Justin Anderson, the popular Christmas Open House is entering its 10th anniversary year.

Committees discuss health insurance, budget, union negotiations
The finance committee and the civil service employee relations committee of the Hillsboro City Council met Thursday evening to discuss a potential increase to the city's health insurance and how that will impact the overall budget for 2011 and into 2012.
