Greenfield firefighters battle structure fire

Firefighters with Paint Creek Joint Fire and EMS battled a structure fire in the 700 block of Fifth Street into early Sunday morning.
 According to fire Chief Bradley George, the department received a call of a structure fire in a vacant home at approximately 10:42 p.m. Upon arrival to the scene it was determined that the fire had originated in the attic.

Hillsboro pair indicted on meth, endangering children charges
A Hillsboro pair whose rented home caught fire in September has been indicted of charges of first-degree felony manufacturing drugs and charges of endangering children.
 Casey Scarberry and David Bailey were indicted by a grand jury in Highland County Common Pleas Court last week, and each was arraigned Nov. 4 on four charges of endangering children, felonies of the third degree; and charges of illegal manufacture of drugs, felonies of the first degree.
Trees donated for Hillsboro holiday decorations
Georgia's Bridal and Formal owners Scarlett and Dalton Thomas of Hillsboro donated several cedar trees to be planted around town and decorated for the holidays.
