Lynchburg man arrested on drug-related charges
The Hillsboro Police Department and  the Highland County Sheriff's Office responded to 142 South High Street in Hillsboro Saturday, Nov. 27 in order to locate a suspect wanted on warrants. Officers located Stanley J. Lamb, 27, of Lynchburg.

Parade brings joyous start to Christmas season
The holiday season officially rolled into town Saturday, as the annual Christmas parade marched, danced and trotted through the streets of Hillsboro.
 Sponsored by the Hillsboro Uptown Business Association, the parade was just a part of the day of events around the Highland County Courthouse Square, which also included activities such as a petting zoo and straw maze, sponsored by 4-H clubs of Highland County, in the former city safety building,
 The parade, which featured area fire departments, civic groups and students, was led by grand marshal Larry Dukes.

Ohio's deer-gun season opens Nov. 29
Ohio's popular deer-gun season opens statewide on Monday, November 29, offering hunters a full week to harvest a whitetail. The upcoming season will again include an extra weekend of gun hunting on December 18-19, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Wildlife.
