North Adams outguns Whiteoak, 69-54, to open 2010-11 season

Drew Dollich showed little signs of his preseason illness and lit up the Whiteoak defense for 21 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, as Coach Dave Young's Green Devils defeated Tom Wessner's Wildcats, 69-54, Friday, Dec. 3. Prior to the opening tipoff, the North Adams gymnasium paused for a moment of silence in honor of fallen U.S. Marine Luke Scott of Adams County, who lost his life in the war in Afghanistan this week.

Lady Falcons hand MHS first loss
Not being able to break the defense of the Clinton-Massie Lady Falcons, the Lady Tigers of McClain suffered their first loss of the season, a South Central Ohio League loss, 44-28 at Clinton-Massie High School.

Former Lynchburg treasurer pleads guilty to theft in office
A former treasurer for the village of Lynchburg pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of theft in office.
 In Highland County Common Pleas Court Friday before Judge Rocky Coss, Angelique Balon pleaded guilty to the two counts of theft in office. As a result of the agreement, the state determined the third count be dismissed.
