Student volunteers from the Highland County Alternative School's JOGs (Jobs for Ohio Graduates) program help wrap and sort gifts Tuesday at the Help Me Grow office in the Highland County Annex.

Charles Elmer Miller, 54, of Fayetteville, formerly of Greenfield, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Dayton.

A tractor-drawn antique cart driven by Ken Woleab transported the royalty to the village open houses where they enjoyed a potpourri of treats. These businesses opened their doors and served a wide variety of Christmas goodies: Kay Simmon’s Insurance, Leesburg Market and Meats, The American Legion, Katie’s Confections, Fat Boys Pizza, Leesburg Federal, along with the library and the post office which hosted a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

When asked by Lesley Stahl in an interview of John Boehner on 60 minutes why the Republican Party, supposedly dedicated to reducing government spending and balancing the budget, would support an agreement that would add nearly a trillion dollars to the nation's debt Mr. Boehner took time out from crying to say that deficits are caused by government spending, not by reductions in government income.

Wanda Rebekah Tuck, 53, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati.
