I am a big fan of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing. In fact, I enjoy all forms of racing. I like local track racing. I like Nationwide racing. I like the trucks. Heck, if the vehicle is going fast, I'll stop what I am doing and watch it race.

State Representative Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has been appointed by Speaker William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) to serve on four House committees during the 129th General Assembly. In addition to serving on the Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, he will serve on the Public Utilities, Veteran’s Affairs, as well as the Economic and Small Business Development committees.

HCS elects new officers at organizational meeting
The Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education re-elected Laura Bagshaw as board president and Sam Barnhouse as vice president during the organizational meeting held Monday.
 The board met in the library of Hillsboro High School, where the regular monthly meetings will be held during 2011. Immediately following the vote on officers, Bagshaw and Barnhouse were sworn in by treasurer Debbie Lawwell.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has announced that he has officially authorized action seeking to add Ohio to the growing roster of states challenging the constitutionality of the recently enacted healthcare law.
AmeriCorps Fellows program accepting applications at SSU
The program is an AmeriCorps Education Award Program. Students who are involved in this program will receive an education award to use toward tuition, or federally funded student loans, in return for community service.
