Clara Alice Wylie, 89, of Greenfield, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.

The city of Greenfield is working to make sure that railroad lines are up and working by June to assist Johnson Controls in reopening its doors.

The trial of a former corrections officer at the Highland County Justice Center has been continued.
 Christopher L. Hilderbrandt, 30, of Highland County, was indicted in October on one count of sexual battery, a felony of the third degree.

Tax season is quickly approaching, and thousands of Ohioans will soon begin the filing process to ensure that they receive their refunds. To save taxpayers a little extra money this year, when individuals and families can use every extra dollar, the Highland County Office of Reentry Services is partnering with the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks (OASHF) to help low- and moderate-income Ohioans obtain free Federal and State income tax return assistance and to identify if they are eligible for other work support benefits.

Southern State Community College is teaming up with the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Ohio University Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs to offer a 3 hour workshop titled “Listening to Your Business.” The program, a part of the FastTrac® family of programs, is designed to give owners tools to plan for the future by taking a snapshot of the current business, evaluating where the owner is in the planning process and translating goals into action steps.
