A Humanitarian Award presented to VFW Post 9094, Hillsboro, on Friday, Feb. 11 in recognition of and sincere appreciation for their charitable contribution to the community, homeless veterans, and military assistance to support active duty troops and their families.
The Overlook Retreat Banquet Center on Rocky Fork Lake will be hosting a bridal show March 19, 2011. The show is presented by Georgia’s Bridal and will include a fashion show.

(Continued from last week.) The SCOL teams got back into league action Jan. 7, 1983, when Washington visited Hillsboro. After a torrid battle, the Indians captured a 76-75 overtime win from the Blue Lions. Vince Johnson led the Indians’ scoring with 33 points, while Tim Redman chalked up 32 for the blue and white. This was not a defensive struggle.
