Southern State Singers to present March 13 spring concert

The Southern State Singers will present “A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That” spring concert 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13, in Room 107 of Southern State Community College’s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. The event is free and open to the public.

Cabin Fever Arts Festival March 19 at SSCC South Campus
Enjoy warm, catered concessions while listening to live music, provided by several local groups. Cabin Fever is a presentation of the Appalachian Artisans Guild. It will be held on March 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fincastle (South) Campus of Southern State Community College located at 12681 U.S. 62, 1.5 miles north of S.R. 32, or 18 miles south of Hillsboro. Admission is free.
Senate committee plans revisions to SB 5, as protests continue
A Senate committee could finalize revisions and vote on Senate Bill 5 Tuesday, March 1, as protests from union groups continue in Columbus. Senate Bill 5, introduced by Sen. Shannon Jones, R-Springboro, seeks to end certain collective bargaining rights for more than 350,000 state workers, teachers, safety forces and other public employees.
