The village of Vinton’s former fiscal officer paid herself $13,589 she wasn’t entitled to over a four-year period, according to the 2007-08 audit report released this week by Auditor of State Dave Yost.

"Individuals are carrying weapons illegally right now," said Rep. Danny Bubp (R., West Union), a former Marine. "What this bill does is allow ... anyone who's got a concealed-carry permit to be able to carry in there and be able to protect themselves and their family."

On a muggy Wednesday afternoon that turned to evening, the Sheridan Lady Generals and McClain Lady Tigers took part in a softball slugfest where neither team would go down for the count. That was until the 10th inning, where the Lady Generals did what they needed to do to end the never-ending game, defeating the South Central Ohio League champion Lady Tigers, 6-5.
