Hillsboro Christian Academy wins third straight Emmanuel Baptist Tournament

LEBANON – The Hillsboro Christian Academy Lady Crusaders won their third straight Emmanuel Baptist Classic Tournament in varsity girls’ volleyball on Saturday, Oct. 14.
The Lady Crusaders competed in the two-day tournament, facing two different teams in three games. The Lady Crusaders defeated Calvary Christian on Oct. 13 in two sets by a score of 25-11 in both sets.
On Oct. 14, the Lady Crusaders faced the Liberty Bible Academy Lady Patriots twice, once in the semi-finals and again in the championship game after LBA defeated Emmanuel Baptist.
The Lady Crusaders defeated LBA in the first game by scores of 25-19 and 25-18 and again the championship game by scores of 25-16 and 25-20.
Alanna Stoltzfus led the Lady Crusaders in assists, aces and playable passes for the tournament with 37, eight and 86 respectively. Annie Henderson led the team in kills with 13 for the tournament.
Stoltzfus received an All-Tournament MVP award for her performance, as did senior Emma Robb. Henderson received the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award for her performance.
Liberty Bible Academy and Emmanuel Baptist Christian School finished in second and third place in the tournament.
The Lady Crusaders won all three games they played and never lost a set in the tournament. They finish the season with a record of 16-11 and only graduate three players.
