Hillsboro Christian Academy third in Milford tournament

MILFORD – The Hillsboro Christian Academy Lady Crusaders took part in the Milford Christian Academy Paw Tournament on Sept. 8-9, taking home third place.
The Lady Crusaders lost to the Germantown Christian School Lady Conquerors in the first round of the tournament by scores of 25-16 and 25-18. In the second round of the tournament, the Lady Crusaders took on the hosting Milford Christian Academy Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Crusaders lost to the Lady Bulldogs as well, by scores of 26-24 and 25-15.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Conquerors in the championship game to take first place in the Milford Paw Tournament.
Alanna Stoltzfus led the Lady Crusaders in playable passes and assists for the tournament with 48 and seven respectively. Evon Reed led the Lady Crusaders in aces with four for the tournament. Carlee Puckett and Annie Henderson tied for the team lead in kills for the tournament with four apiece.
The Lady Crusaders now have a record of 3-5 on the season. They look to snap their current losing streak of five games as they take on the Wilmington Christian Academy on Sept. 12 at WCA.
