Hillsboro Christian Academy and five other schools have agreed to form their own sports league for the 2024-2025 volleyball and basketball seasons. Joining HCA are Ross County Christian Academy, Wilmington Christian Academy, Fayette Christian School, Adams County Christian School and Scioto Christian School. The new league will be known as the Southern Ohio Christian Conference.
“We will start conference play in the fall of 2024,” RCCA Athletic Director Roy Kelley stated about the league. “This year we will host an end of the season conference tournament in volleyball and basketball.”
Hillsboro Christian Academy Athletic Director Tyler Rhodes added, “We are excited to bring this dream closer to reality. This has been something we have discussed in recent years and the pieces have recently started falling into place. We are looking forward to the opportunities this will provide for our student athletes, our athletic programs and most importantly our schools. The league is being founded on Christian values and education.”
More sports will eventually be added to the conference as the conference grows and takes hold.
