A Washington Court House man was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to a meth possession charge in Highland County, as well as theft charges in Fayette County.

Adam R. Robinson, 38, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in January and charged with aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a third-degree felony. He pleaded guilty to the charge April 16.

According to a bill of particulars, it is alleged that in August 2024, a Highland County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Robinson on “several warrants” when he was located at a Concord Township address. When Robinson’s vehicle was searched, the deputy allegedly located a container and a bag both “containing a powder-like substance.” The substances later were tested by BCI and confirmed to contain 4.5 grams of meth.

Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Robinson to 18 months in prison, with jail time credit of one day, with the stipulation that Robinson’s sentence will be executed after his then-pending sentence in Fayette County.

According to Fayette County Common Pleas Court records, Robinson pleaded guilty April 23 to one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, in two separate cases. He was ordered to serve nine months in prison on each charge consecutively, for a total of 18 months in prison, with 104 days of jail time credit. However, Fayette County Common Pleas Court Judge David Bender ordered Robinson’s sentence to be served concurrently with his sentence from Highland County.

Robinson was admitted into the Correctional Reception Center in Orient April 28, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
