Two charged with breaking and entering

Two people were arrested Sunday by the Hillsboro Police Department, following charges of breaking and entering at a Fair Street property.

Alicia Furguson, 21, and T.J. Burns, 23, were charged with breaking and entering, theft, and obstructing official business, according to the HPD. Burns also had outstanding warrants from the Leesburg Police Department, the HPD said.

Hillsboro police received a call at 7:30 p.m. June 3 regarding a possible breaking and entering. Upon arrival, an officer witnessed Furguson stripping copper wire outside of a barn on the property, the HPD said.

A second suspect fled on foot from the barn. After a search, Burns was apprehended.
