Three arrested, cash seized in Bigelow Street investigation

Highland County Sheriff Richard Warner reports that over the last few months, the Highland County Sheriff's Office, the Hillsboro Police Department, the U.S. Major 23 Pipeline Task Force and the Ohio HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), have conducted an investigation involving the trafficking of drugs at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Bigelow Street in Hillsboro. During the course of the investigation, evidence has been collected in connection with the trafficking of drugs.

On March 5, the Highland County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 324 Bigelow Street, Apartment D1 in Hillsboro as a result of a lengthy investigation. As a result of the search warrant, the Sheriff's Office seized approximately $25,000 in cash, drugs, firearms, syringes, scales and two motor vehicles stemming from this investigation.

Astasia Deaton, Justin Deaton and Bryon Clemons were arrested and charged with possession of drugs. Additional charges are expected and will be presented to Highland County Prosecutor Anneka Collins for presentation at an upcoming grand jury.
