Ten arrested on drug trafficking charges

On April 20, 2010, the Highland County Grand Jury met in special session and returned 18 sealed indictments on drug trafficking cases in Greenfield.

These cases have been under investigation for several months by the Greenfield Police Department.  On Tuesday evening, Greenfield police officers were able to locate and arrest 10 of the indicted individuals, some of which were already in custody on unrelated charges. Officers will continue to search for the remaining suspects at large.

Those persons arrested on Tuesday are:

• Timothy Shumaker, 42, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Cindy Louk, 37, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Jesse Binegar, 27, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Georgia McCallister, 45, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Karla Pryor, 29, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Joseph Cowman, 59, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin;
• Cody Cowman, 20, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin;
• Donald Scott Pearson, 47, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Justin Stubbs, 31, Greenfield, charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine;
• Kenneth Lentz III, 22, Greenfield, charged with and possession heroin and tampering with evidence;

Those arrested were taken to the Highland County Justice Center and will appear for arraignment in Highland County Common Pleas Court.

Also arrested during the operation were:
• Edward L. Walker, 18, Bainbridge, bench warrant from Hillsboro for failure to appear;
• Carl Pennington, 30, Greenfield, for warrant from Pike County for failure to pay child support.
