State Your Cause, a Columbus-area rock band that includes two Highland County native sons, will perform from noon-12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at this year's Rock on the Range at Columbus Crew Stadium.

Rock on the Range, which features Puddle of Mudd, Three Days Grace and more than 30 other bands over the May 22-23 weekend, is an annual rock festival with performances by some of the most popular bands in hard rock, alternative rock and heavy metal.
State Your Cause includes lead singer James (J-Mus) Scott and his brother, guitarist John Scott, both from Highland County.
James Scott told The Highland County Press this week the band is looking forward to playing Rock on the Range and he invited the band's local fans to make the short drive to C-Bus this weekend.
State Your Cause released its new CD, "Escape, Rebellion and Promise" at a December 2009 concert in Hillsboro at the Colony Theater.
State Your Cause was formed by bass player Danny Zeid and guitarist Deepan Rajah. They are joined by drummer Matt Young, and the Scott brothers.
The band's latest hit, "Bring You Back," recently earned a $5,000 grand prize from www.ourstage.com in a national new music contest. The band has a strong emphasis on hard-hitting live concerts, but also has established themselves as a rock 'n' roll mainstay for their growing fan base.
"The band always entertains the crowd and we acknowledge our fans as the reason to take the stage," Scott says.
State Your Cause has performed at a variety of concert sites, including Riverbend in Cincinnati as well as many Columbus area venues.
SYC will play on the Jagermeister Stage May 23, as will bands Mushroomhead, Taproot, Year Long Disaster and Noise Auction.
Tickets for Rock on the Range are available through Ticketmaster or online at www.rockontherange.com/tickets.html.
